What would you suggest i do to convince a friend of mine who has ms that there is a lot to live for?

TELL HIM/HER THIS: In 2013, ms is a fully treatable and controllable disorder! avoid the nasty needles, and choose one of the newer oral agents, especially tecfidera or gilenya, (fingolimod) as less relapses, and lower disability with even cessation of active disease a possibility. Vitamin d supplements add to success. Find a doctor with skills and experience, and enjoy your life.

Lots to hope for: People diagnosed with MS should expect to have a normal life span and minimal disruption of their life. There are times when people develop progressive disease, but we are getting closer to a cure for this. A lot has changed in the past 5 years- please be patient! And hopeful!
