A member asked:

Friend of mine has just been diagnosed with ms, i have heard of it but don't know that much about it really. how can i help him?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

SEE BELOW: Make sure that he has the help of a neurologist who is skilled and experienced in the field of ms, and that your friend is taking a potent and well tolerated medication (perhaps one of the oral meds?). Have him do aerobic exercise, eat a low fat, low salt diet, avoid smoking, and supplement vit d-3. You might want him to affiliate with the local ms society, and perhaps attend some events.
