Amnesia: Memory is often affected by a brain injury, as well as stroke, MS, etc. Whether memory is affected or not does not necessarily mean the injury is bad. If there is more than one cause of a memory deficit, that can complicate the interpretation. It may help your memory to spend time thinking about who you are. Make notes about your past, read letters, look at pix, talk to friends- it can help.
