A member asked:

I had a brain injury 3 months ago when could i take xanx and would it affect me badly if i did?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Xanax and the brain: Xannax will make anyone's brain slow down. If you have had a brain injury it would be in your best interest not to take the xanax at all. Or if you do take it only do this under the direction of a doctor that knows your condition. Xanax and other drugs like it cause mental slowing, sleepiness, fatigue. They can also worsen depression.
