Diets=Marketing to: those already failing to correctly understand/implement what works; bigger issue is commitment to success. Lower nutritional value foods, especially not cooked, if not eaten in large amounts, e.g. above ground low-glycemic-index veggies (Not corn or some beans), do tend to correlate with loosing body fat, as does eating saturated high-fat medium-chain-triglyceride foods. Counting calories=bogus!

Need more info: Before starting a vegetarian diet you should have a complete physical by your family physician. Then you want a recommendation from him/her to talk with a dietician. Starting a vegetarian diet on your own is like getting into an automobile for the first time and driving off without first not having taken driving lessons
