Your choice: Both will require supplementing with nutrients, the vegan diet much more so. Both will cause you to lose weight because you're making food choices that aren't greasy / sugary / extremely tasty so you won't overeat. An even better option is to get with your physician and examine your diet and exercise habits -- fitness activities make friends for you & lifestyle change keeps you lean long-term.
