A member asked:

If my diet lacked iron, protein, nutrients from poor eating for more than 3 years consistently, can that contribute to hair loss? example- literally never eating iron (i'm vegetarian) and maybe 20 grams of protein on an average day if that?

Yes. A restricted diet can lead to hair loss. Hair loss is also a problem with normal aging in some people.
