I got my ears pinned back 12 years ago and i still can't wear over the ear headphones because of the pain. is this normal?

Ear pain: Outer ear sensitivity from pinning isn not common but can happen because ears are sensitive tissues - particularly the cartilage portions. Ear covers may rub these areas.
