Depends on cause: Numbness and tingling in hands and feet is known as peripheral neuropathy. Peripheral meaning far from central (heart) and neuropathy means problems with the nerves. The most common causes of peripheral neuropathy are alcoholism, diabetes, thyroid disease, and Vit B12 deficiency. If these conditions are ruled out, there are medications eg. Neurontin and/or Lyrica (pregabalin) which may help symptoms.
