Not uncommon: I assume you are referring to a mammogram. It is not uncommon to require further evaluation. "Abnormalities" can be due to the placement of the breast, lymph nodes, cysts, etc. If there is any question of abnormality additional view with different angles, spot compression, and ultra sound can determine if there is an issue requiring further evaluation.
