Ok but: Let's first establish whether you suffer from migraine which is often triggered by stress. If the problem is persistent, consult an eye doctor.

Tear-caused: If you still had tears in your eyes when this happened, then I suspect the tear drops refracted the light into the color spectra you describe. If that's the case, then this symptom is temporary, going away once the tears are gone. But if you continue to have it, especially if in only one eye, then you should see an eye specialist. Hope that helps.
