When should you get your child tested to see if they are on the autistic spectrum?

AAP Guidelines : recommend developmental surveillance in infants & toddlers using standardized screening tools, including autism-specific screens at 18 & 24 months, like those on firstsigns.org. Screening tools like the PDDST & the ASQ-SE can identify early alterations in development of social reciprocity & communication. Therapy for 12-15 month-olds now exists, so screening recommendations may change.
