Chest pain: Could be nerve related if you have had some recent trauma or surgery to the area. Patients describe shooting pain that is intermittent and not usually associated with an activity. Inflammation of the breast bone or cartilage at junction of breast bone is a possibility as well. Musculoskeletal pain is usually associated with certain movements or deep breathing. Heartburn/Cardiac also a concern.
