Most likely: Lack of discharge, lack of pain would indicate infection is resolved, However, what may set you up for the infection is narrow opening from sinus into nasopharynx, so stuffiness will occur with even mild swelling of tissue in area (closing off sinus outlet). Use nasal saline spray to try to keep area free of allergens, morning problem highly suggestive of environmental allergy (dust, pollen, etc.)

Exam: I suggest a follow up examination if you are uncertain- sinus infections should resolve in 10 days; however, relapses are not that uncommon.
