My dr ordered a manual cbc bc my eos has been high. manual came bak in range, but automated came bak high. why would that happen? auto high for a yr.

How high?: Eosinophils fluctuate, with most folks varying by 50% or so morning-versus-evening. Absolute eosinophil count over 500 raises eyebrows if there's a diagnostic question (in the US, consider strongyloides if the person seems healthy) but most often mean nothing. Very high eosinophils are a key to the Loeffler family.
