A member asked:

Experiencing gallbladder pain but negative test results. what could be wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rarely, ultrasound: Will fail to detect small stones. Did you get a test called cck -stimulated hida scan? It measures your gallbladder emptying, and can sometimes help in determination of origin of pain. Sometimes, the symptoms are so classic and so severe that gallbladder removal is advised, even with negative tests. Ask a GI specialist for advice on whether he advises surgery.
