>440 men, > 460 wome: QT interval is the EKG segment showing the time it takes for activation (depolarization) and then deactivation( re polarization)of the bottom chambers, L>R. The interval changes based on heart rate so we use a correction factor, QTc. Normal <440ms for men, <460 for women. Risk of sudden death generally increases above 500ms
