A member asked:

What would be appropriate for depression and what are some good antidepressants?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No "good" medicine: There is no "good" antidepressant as people respond to them differently. It is best to be evaluated by a psychiatrist, as certain anitdepressants may not be right for you depending on your symptoms as well as their side effect profile. Non-medical treatments include exercise, support groups, journaling, therapy, vitamins (i.e. Omega 3, b complex, vit. D) and light therapy.
