Managing dementia Isa very individual issue and you need to discuss with her Drs. It is also difficult for the family. Serif there support group your Dr can recommend. Wish I wad there to be able to help.

Use of psychiatric mood medications can be difficult in the elderly patient with dementia. There are many choices and Prozac is an older generic pill with many side effects. Perhaps the best approach is to find a neurologist who specializes in dementia, and discuss various medications which might benefit her. This will take time, it is not easy, so good luck in your quest.
