Serotonin syndrome: Overactivation due to excess serotonin. See diagram. Treatment is emergency intervention if severe, and discontinuing the medication if less severe. Some medications used are Muscle relaxants, serotonin blockers such as Periactin, (cyproheptadine hydrochloride) Oxygen & intravenous fluids.
