Needs evaluation: Olfactory hallucinatons or phantom smell (phantosmia) may be related to a problem in the smelling nerves in the nose, a problem with interpretation in the brain (tumor), or as a manifestation of seizure disorder. USUALLY, however, it is none of those things, but may be related to losing the normal sense of smell. It often goes away by itself after some time.You should see your doc/or a neurologist
