Hemolytic anemia: is the most common symptom. Hemolysis is the destruction of red cells by the body due to their fragility. In G6PD the red cells are sensitive to certain drugs or chemicals like anti-malaria drugs, aniline dyes, foods like fava beans or bitter melon and infections. Clotting is not usually a manifestation.
