Do being iron deficiency anemia cause blood clots?

Anemia: Unlikely. Anemia and blood clotting are two different mechanisms. Iron deficiency is due to low iron levels. Blood clot is part of coagulation process.

Unlikely, per se. Iron deficiency is usually accompanied by elevated platelet counts. If you have an underlying clotting disorder, iron deficiency could indirectly make you more prone to getting clots. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
