Test for H pylori, +: H pylori bacteria are a common cause of peptic ulcers.A 2-week treatment can get rid of it, and eliminate recurrence. Gastric bleeds will give heme positive stools. But the anemia may be from hemolysis caused by exposure to something which causes acute hemolysis (busting open of your fragile red cell membranes) in G6PD deficiency. Serum free hemoglobin will be high. Learn what you must avoid!
