LUQ pain: Left upper quadrant abdominal pain may be caused by acid reflux, which you said was found by one of your tests. If all of the other tests were negative, then your doctor may want to consider a trial of medication to treat that before going on to further diagnostic tests. If he does want to do more tests, the CT scan seems reasonable, given the setting. Good luck.

Not necessarily: It is likely the CT would not be helpful in an area imaged by MRI. If you didn' t have a colonoscopy that may add to the evaluation of an abdominal pain. If the pain is located near the rib cage a CT could be warranted of the chest to evaluate for a problem in the lungs. If your pain is persisting, I recommend to continue to work with your primary care doctor or specialist.
