Healthy Laugh: Hiccups, in general, are caused by short/rapid diaphragm contractions. There are many potential causes. Irritation of the diaphragm from laughing is a potential cause. Furthermore, chronic hiccups can result in nausea and gastric reflux (in my experience with adults). Vomiting with hiccups seems like a normal and expected phenomenon. If happening often, its worth looking into by Pediatrician.
