A member asked:

Why do my 2 years son laughs without cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gelastic seizures?: Though rare, the main sign of a gelastic seizure is a sudden outburst of laughter or crying with no apparent cause. The outburst usually lasts for less than a minute. During or shortly after a seizure, an individual might display some twitching, strange eye movements, lip smacking, fidgeting or mumbling. See a pediatric neurologist if you have concerns.
