Complex issue: Some women have very complex breast tissue which is dense and composed of cysts and solid nodules. Sorting all of this out can be difficult. One option is to check you every 6 months for a couple of years to make sure everything remains stable. Also, ask your doctor about breast mri. It can often provide reassurance that most of the complex tissue is benign and/or guide possible biopsy.

Multiple cysts: and multiple benign appearing nodules generally require no specific follow up, it is considered a BIRADS category 2(benign) finding. MRI usually doesn't add any useful information in this situation unless there is a specific area of concern or the patient is considered high risk. If any of the nodules look different or more suspicious than the rest, biopsy could be indicated.
