Possible: But diarrhea can be caused by inflammation such as colitis and that inflammation can be infections as in food poisoning or idiopathic such as ulcerative colitis or crohn's disease. Chronic diarrhea can be due to removal of the gall bladder and that is treated medically. A thorough workup of the diarrhea by a gastroenterologist or colorectal surgeon should be undertaken to get the correct diagnosis.
