Dr. John Chiu answered

See GI doctor: You likely have what is called irritable bowel syndrome . X-ray would not be diagnostic for it. At your age, it is highly unlikely to be from a colon cancer unless you have a family history of recurrent colon polyps. See doctor to get advice on how to better handle this condition .

GI Symptoms: In addition to Dr. Chiu's sound advice, please know that if you are diagnosed w/IBS after seeing a Gastro MD, emotion can be a trigger for flare ups. A clinical psychologist can teach you strategies for stress management. You may also have developed a health phobia out of your very real symptoms. Peace and good health.

Colon cancer anxiety: I understand your feeling scared of Colon Cancer. It is likely that you do not have Colon Cancer due to your age of 27, absence of blood in stool, loss of appetite or loss of weight. Possible causes can be: • Irritable Bowel Syndrome • Crohn Disease • Malabsorption Syndrome Please see a Gastroenterologist for Diagnosis and Treatment of stomach cramps; and constipation and Diarrhea alternatively.
