Can labyrinthitis or vestibular neuritis become life long chronic conditions? most people ive spoken to with this issue have had it for months!

Not usually: The acute symptoms of vestibular neuritis are often severe and rarely last more than a few days to weeks. However the residual dizziness and sense of imbalance can take months to resolve. Most people do make a full recovery but it can take time.
