Corneal abrasion: It sounds like you have either a chemical or physical burn or abrasion on the surface of your eye. The cornea has a covering that is only a few cell-layers thick, & even a tear in this thin membrane can cause terrible pain & light-sensitivity. Take plenty of tylenol (acetaminophen) or advil, use artificial tears. You may need to see your fp or eye doc for antibiotic drops after a Fluorescein exam under bluelight.
