Cavus foot: Though I don't really know how Cavus foot is related to Compartment Syndrome, people rarely need surgical correction of a Cavus foot type unless they are severely deformed, it interferes with activity and ambulation, or if there is a great deal of pain. If Foot Drop is the condition he would like to treat, that sounds more likely, but I would try bracing and conservative care prior to any surgery
