Had bunion/hammertoe surgery 6 weeks ago. 5 wires inside foot. foot is still red, swollen, and painful. not getting better. incision on top of foot(4th toe) is festering ulcer. getting desperate. not convinced surgeon is being honest. any ideas?

Go to the emergency room. You could have an infection that needs immediate attention. Your foot should not be like that 5 weeks post op.
