Have anchor removed: After 8 months the tendon should be healed enough the anchor may be acting as a foreign body.

Have it evaluated.: Pain may last a long time following a foot or ankle surgery. Have it re-evaluated if you continue to have pain.

CRPS: Is the pain all over the foot/ constant/getting worse, or is it just at the site of the anchor? If the former, a diagnosis of CRPS should be entertained.
