HCG: We like to see a doubling of the HCG every 72 hours. So this likely is not a viable pregnancy as the numbers are going down.It is also not likely to be an ectopic pregnancy. I am sorry that this is happening to you. It is awful but should not preclude future pregnancies. Please be in touch with your doctor to see what the next steps are.

Not normal: It is clear that the pregnancy is not normal with a falling BhCG. There wold still be the question as to if this is an ectopic pregnancy. Follow up with you doctor. If the BhCG does not go away completely you may require intervention.
