Safe yes: Ointment is a little over kill, drops work just as well and do not blur the vision. Pink eye is self limited, meaning that without treatment it will resolve in 2 weeks. Treatment is given to shorten the course of infection.

It is safe!: Erythromycin ointment is safe during pregnancy. Depending on the bacteria, it would most likely go away without treatment at all, it may take longer, and you would be taking the chance of possible permanent vision changes.
