Ablative? referring: to killing living cells? LASER (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) refers to devices producing a single frequency of aligned light photons which can be more readily focused facilitating intense application of light energy to small areas. Redness is due to ↑ed capillary blood flow, a response to skin injury, such as resulting from LASER damage. Beware Ads, do your homework.

Ablative LASER: Ablative generally refers to burning or destruction. The LASERs recognized as ablative are CO2 and Erbium but any LASER or even IPL used incorrectly can cause skin damage. First question is your goal? If your goal is not to get redness, then I recommend that you do not get any light-based treatment. LASERs are prescriptive, medical treatment and must be performed under physician's care only.
