Afrin (oxymetazoline): Instead of spray inside nose, apply a drop of afrin on your face. The generic -oxymetazoline----will work as well for less $. Try it before a social event. Avoid alcohol, hot drinks, hot foods. A dermatologist can prescribe a new gel but it will be expensive, is similar to afrin.
