Yes, but...: There are many different things that could give you those symptoms. Does this say you had a colonoscopy? What was found? If not, that would be the next thing to do. The GI specialist may want to add an upper endoscopy as well to rule out a stomach bleed as the source of your pain. The scope should be able to see any diverticuli. If too much pain they may want a ct scan 1st. Get seen!

See GI: Cannot say exactly what is going on, but if you have bloody stools that clearly needs to be evaluated.
