About

Bio

Originally from California I trained at Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center on the West side of Chicago. There we saw a vast diversity of pathologies, every conceivable type of Trauma, and some very sick patients. I now practice General Surgery in the South Western Suburbs of Chicago. We cover all of general surgery from the simplest cysts to complex hernias and cancers. We do both open and minimally invasive Robotic surgery. We are one of the busiest robotic hospitals in the Chicago area.

Yes. It can be normal to fill lymph nodes. Especially in very slim people. Usually they’re less than 1 cm in size. They may go up and down with viral infections or small skin cuts. If you have one that is especially large or growing have it checked. Otherwise, you are probably fine just to watch them

Generally pain is higher with a non-mesh repair because the tissue Has to be pulled together tighter, more tension. In addition, there is a higher risk of recurrence. (~5-10%) Mesh repairs theoretically are tension free — therefore less pain but this is variable. They also have a lower risk of recurrence. (0~3%). Surgeon skill, Pt.obesity, smoking, etc. have much bigger effect on recurrence

See gastroenterologi: Many things can cause that. You may want to begin with stool tests to rule out an infection. Your doctor can also review your diet to see if there is something unusual. You may need a colonoscopy to see if there is something wrong with the colon.
