Unclear: first of all you need to take the initiative to not scratch. I know easier said than done. You can put alcohol on it and it will burn but will stop the itch as an old home remedy. A much better one is to pick up some benadryl (diphenhydramine) cream or hydrocortisone cream to help the itch. However since this has progressed you need to have the lesion checked to see what the white ring is. Best wishes.
