I had a benign mengimoa 50 % removed then 28 treatments of radiation. can the radiation cause throat cancer or does it stay only in the head .

Exposed area: Radiation affects only the area exposed to radiation.If the throat area was not exposed to radiation, you do not have extra risk for throat cancer. Radiation for meningioma was likely confined to the head and throat should not be affected.
