Yes of course,: Using intra-oral camera, the dentist will be able to show you how your teeth look, particularly how healthy your enamel is. There is a common condition associate with enamel wear is the loss of enamel at the gum line called: erosion, abrasion, abfraction. This can lead to enamel hypersensitivity or even root decay.

Within limits: The Dentist can see about 65-75% of tooth enamel with a visual inspection. The rest is usually evaluated on x-ray. Macroscopic problems can be detected readily. Microscopic problems may not yet be able to be evaluated. Your Dentist is trained and experienced in addressing all of your oral health needs, or referring you for specialty treatment if required.
