Be seen: Your rapid heart rate should certainly be investigated further for the cause. You may have a serious cardiac condition such as atrial fibrillation, for example.

See MD or ER: Please see your doctor or an ER or clinic today if you have a sustained heart rate of 176. This may be due to meds you are taking or to stresses, but it is not a normal rate. You must be seen to evaluate your heart.. Even thyroid issues can cause rapid heart rate Good luck and feel better.

Heart rate: This is too fast unless there is a reason to speed your heart, exercise, fever, some medications, excitement etc. However, there is also an entity called inappropriate sinus tachycardia which may require treatment. You can consult one of us - electrophysiologists...
