A member asked:

Can heart rate of 180 (caught on 14 day loop) still be considered sinus tachycardia? what can cause this if it's not my heart? no exercise/anxiety

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Maximum HR is age related. At your age, 180 can be due to sinus tachy but only with reason eg, strenuous exercise, severe pain, anxiety thyroid XS or infection. More likely you have supraventricular tachycardia, a common but pathological condition. Your doctor will discuss treatment options. Meanwhile avoid nicotine, caffeine, alcohol, pseudoephedrine, and recreational drugs.
