DVT prevention: Any lengthy surgery can lead to deep vein thrombosis, however, when someone undergoing surgery has a history of it, precautions can be taken to prevent it from occurring and/or precautions can be undertaken to prevent the potential clot from traveling to the heart and lungs which is where DVT causes its problem
