Breast milk, Vit C: It is disturbing to hear this; infection may occur if droplets from coughs, sneezes or saliva reached the baby; symptoms take 14-24 days to develop. If the mom has immunity from the vaccine (or history of mumps) her antibodies will be passed to the baby via breast milk. Vitamin C may help (Hyland's has a brand for infants- give 2-3x/day). If mumps develops I advise seeing a homeopath for treatment.

Breast Feeding: There is no approved vaccine for newborns and immune globulin is not effective for post exposure prophylaxis.the best protection is provided by breast milk, provided mom has either had the infection or has been vaccinated.

Nothing specific: Since the mother likely had mumps as a kid or had the vaccine, a 1 wk old would likely have passive immunity acquired from placental antibodies.Breast feeding can provide some additional benefits, but the placental antibodies baby already has is thought to prevent any benefit from a mumps shot prior to 6 mo.
