Less hungry?: This is a bit of a conundrum, but all I can think of is that you are hungrier when you strength train and eat more/take in more calories. When you don't strength train, you naturally eat less. I don't think the metabolic effects of strength training alone, as we understand them, could account for this. Keep a food diary, and see if you eat differently/more when training. Good wishes:)
