Holes fill in soon: If no pain, keep the holes clean, irrigate, & they will fill in before you know it. If there is pain associated, the holes may need to be irrigated and packed by the surgeon.

A 31-year-old member asked:
How long does it make for someone to eat hard food after getting their wisdom teeth out?
1 doctor answer • 4 doctors weighed in
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 42 years experience
It varies: Returning to a normal diet following the removal of wisdom teeth may vary from person to person. Some patients resume eating solid food immediately following surgery, while others may have to wait several days before attempting solid food. The number of teeth removed, their location and difficulty in removal can also affect when you want to try attempting a normal diet.
